Lists & Challenges

This page contains the master list of my lists and challenges for the year.

I decided to try and take on my own challenge of watching 25 movies/tv shows/anime series and reading their book/short story/graphic novel/manga/comic book counterparts. I will be posting reviews on all of these, and for the longer ones, such as the ongoing comic book series or the manga, I will be reviewing it per story arc, as much as possible.

If you want to join me in this challenge, all you need to do is list down the things that you will watch other the course of the year, and read its written counterpart. You can start with 25, but if you are feeling up to it, you can expand the list to 30 or 50. Feel free to review them as well as you go along your list. As much as possible, especially for book series, manga or comics, try to stick to the story arcs or chapters that was adapted. For example, Thor: Ragnarok is based on the Ragnarok story arc and Planet Hulk, so I’ll be reading both or the Sword of Shanarra Trilogy is the basis for the Shanarra Chronicles, so I can only cross it off my list if I finish those story arcs or trilogy. You may opt to read then watch, or read or watch it first, then go back to it later on, depending on how much time you need away from the source material first to fully appreciate the adaptation. Drop a comment if you want to join me and also, feel free to share your own lists, and share them on Twitter with using #2017ReadtoWatch

Let’s get reading and watching!

This is my own personal challenge to actually cover most of the “Star Wars” material that have been dubbed as canon throughout the year, leading up to Episode IX. I did not really read any of the Expanded Universe, except for Jedi Apprentice, so this will be my first DEEP DIVE into Star Wars Canon.

I’ll be using this timeline ( ) as my guide. I will try to do some of this in order, if I can.

Feel free to join me in my quest to finish reading and watching everything that’s canon before Episode VIII comes around. I will also be writing reviews about the movies, the  books, the comic books, “Star Wars: Rebels” (per season), and “Star Wars: Clone Wars” (per story arc).

All you need to do to join me in this is follow along as I discover the Star Wars universe again. Join me in this challenge on Twitter by using #RoadtoLastJedi
